Biography
Tina Vargas received her B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College of Science and Technology, London, England and her M.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from M.I.T. She has over 34 years of experience in Boeing’s Satellite Design Center with leadership experience in all phases of satellite design and development focusing on bus subsystems, including supporting launch campaigns and on-orbit support. She has worked new business for Government programs, commercial Communications satellites, and NASA planetary missions. She has been a Systems Engineering Manager on a multitude of Government and Commercial programs. She has been responsible for managing program’s cost and schedule, and in executing major PDR and CDR segment presentations to Government customers. Since retiring from Boeing she has volunteered in the community and taught the Spacecraft Design Course at LMU for the past two years.
