Biography
Tony mentors entrepreneurs at MaRS, with a particular emphasis on environmental, advanced materials and manufacturing markets. His primary role is to ensure that MaRS has the right programs in place to help companies take their ideas to market and that these programs are working together; for instance, MaRS Innovation, a commercialization initiative of 14 major institutions, and two other programs that provide funding and market intelligence. Tony brings a wealth of experience to his role, including several high-tech start-up companies that he founded and/or took public.
“Trained as a scientist, I evolved into an entrepreneur. It’s great to see these new tech ideas with huge potential coming through the door—and know that we can do something to help commercialize them.”
