Biography
Troy McClain is the CEO of The McClain Companies, a full-service marketing, communications and business management firm focused on growing people and businesses to great heights.
As a seasoned entrepreneur with over 14 years experience in the financial industry, Troy has learned how to create budgets, manage costs and cost-effectively market and communicate products, services and causes. Using innovative techniques and strategies, he has been instrumental in providing successful growth concepts to companies and professionals working toward a higher level of achievement.
Today, Troy is an international speaker on a variety of topics, such as entrepreneurism, finance, advertising, marketing and communications, personal growth, and giving back to one’s community. He has been honored by numerous high-profile figures and organizations, such as Governor of Idaho C.L. “Butch” Otter, former U.S. Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne, Donald Trump, the Kellogg Innovation Network, and Special Olympics International.
Troy's philosophy is: The best way to get ahead is to give back. And this perspective has been critical in securing clients such as Special Olympics International, International Buddy Cruise, Pinnacle Financial, The Trump Organization, the Mortgage Bankers Association, and the National Association of Realtors. As CEO of The McClain Companies, Troy has also used his entrepreneurial spirit and financial savvy to spearhead a number of startup, turnaround and growth companies, such as Covendium—a commercial debt restructuring firm, and Nature’s Kitchen—a premium pet food maker and distributor.
Awards and accolades are not goals for Troy, but he has been humbled by the recognition he has received over the years. Troy has been featured in numerous publications, including Fast Company and USA Today, and has been officially recorded as one of Idaho's history makers. In addition, Troy has received the Better Business Bureau’s “Integrity Counts” award, Idaho Business Review’s “Accomplished Under 40” recognition, and a Gold Medal from Special Olympics International in recognition of the awareness and compassion he has brought to the special needs of the athletes.
Troy’s enthusiasm, experience and determination have enabled him to live “the American dream.” And he works tirelessly to make that dream the reality for everyone whose life he touches.
