IN BRIEF: Educated in USA, UK, Canada, Singapore, Poland, Val Samonis (PhD, CPC) gained three decades of cross-functional research, business intelligence, teaching, editing, and "blue ribbon" advisory experience combining his theoretical & hands-on empirical approaches to business, technology & modern policy frontiers globally. Expert in high-tech methods of analysis, knowledge management & education, he is an eagle-eyed outside-of-the-box analyst, transformation thinker & intercultural communicator (fluent in English, German, Russian, Polish, Lithuanian; some Spanish, French) with extensive contacts esp.in emerging markets.
EXPERIENCE: Dr. Val Samonis lived globally & worked with top business reformers in emerging markets (e.g. Polish Central Banker L. Balcerowicz, Czech Deputy PM P. Mertlik), 5 Nobel Laureates in The Stanford Economic Transition Group; lectured globally on trade/investment/finance, ICT/knowledge economy, corporate governance, strategy/competitiveness & other issues in modern global economy; and has been published globally. He managed and/or worked in a hands-on manner in international research and advisory "blue ribbon" teams/digital networks sponsored by Transnational Corporations Review, Institute for New Economic Thinking, African Capacity Building Foundation, European Union, World Bank, Hudson Institute, Center for European Integration Studies, Joint Committee on Corporate Governance (Canada), Virtual Consultation Forum for the First Inter-American Meeting of High-Level Authorities on Sustainable Development, OECD-WB Private Sector Advisory Group on Corporate Governance, a number of governments & global financial/economic organizations. Val served as an advisor to the Czech Government, Lithuanian Parliament, global organizations (e.g. UNCTAD, ITC), and multinational corporations (HungryMinds, A.Andersen, Medley Global Advisors, CARE).
