Biography
Since starting her business in 1990, Vicki Suiter has helped hundreds of contractors and designers build solid foundations for their businesses, run operations more efficiently, and achieve the kind of success they never dreamed possible. She — and the companies she works with — consistently create break- through results because Vicki helps her clients through instruction — not by direction. Instead of telling her clients what changes they need to make in their business — she leads them to understand the fundamentals that drive it. Her clients learn to see, and operate their businesses in a whole new way.
Vicki earned her undergraduate degree in business and finance from Dominican University, and held positions as a lending officer with a national bank, was controller for an international training company, and earned certifications as a Business Coach/Trainer and Master NLP Practitioner before opening her own business. She chose to focus on the contracting industry for a very practical reason: her (then) husband was a contractor, and she realized that there were a whole lot of businesses that could use her business advice.
She was right.
Over the last 24 years, Vicki has expanded the scope of her business and her services. When the doors opened, the company name was Suiter Financial Systems. In 2014 she changed the name to Suiter Business Builders to reflect the work she does today. Today, in addition to running a fully-booked consulting practice, Vicki has become an in-demand speaker at construction and design industry conferences across the US and Canada. Her presentations for ASID, IDS, NARI and NKBA are consistently ranked among their most popular. Vicki has also been at the top in association leadership: She served for over six years on the executive team for North Bay NARI, and was named NARI National Chapter President of Year in 2011. She is a current and active member of Institute of Management Consultants (IMC); Institute of Management Accountants (IMA); National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI); North Coast Builders Exchange (NCBE) and Vistage Trusted Advisors Group.
Vicki’s views and opinions have been published in Construction Pro’s Magazine; SF Chronicle; Reeves Journal; CLCA and ASA Newsletters. Currently, she is writing a book to share her insights on how any business can profit in any economy.

Louise Stewart, Professional Development | ASID
"Financial people are often dry, and designers can't relate. Vicki Suiter made finances understandable. She understood our industry, knew how we charged, and spoke to us in a language we could understand. It was so helpful. She really helped change my ideas about how I run my business. Vicki has a wonderful ability to relate to individuals in the audience. (She made sure to find out about the audience before her talk.) It was so helpful that she knew where we were coming from. We could connect everything she said to our business."
Abbie Emms, Director of Education, CQRID | Interior Design Society
“Vicki Suiter addressed one of our critical issues when she presented "How To Be Profitable in Any Economy" to our group. Her talk was highly interactive. She did a great job answering our questions, and it was clear that she tailored her material to us. We've got quite a diverse membership -- from seasoned professionals to those just starting out -- but Vicki left all of us with something of value. I heard several people say that they learned something they'd implement right away. I'd definitely recommend Vicki Suiter!”
Layla Nasouti, Event Manager | DKI Services Corporation
“Vicki Suiter’s breakout session, “How to be Profitable in Any Economy” was a big draw and received a very positive response at our annual conference and trade show. Our attendees are primarily individuals in the restoration industry and conference speakers are selected based on topics our attendees would like to be informed on. Vicki was enjoyed by our attendees and we would be pleased to have her join us again in the future!”
