Biography

Vijay Kumar is a Senior Analyst in IDC Canada’s Industry and Business Solutions practice. Vijay has 12 years of marketing and sales experience working in technology and heavy machinery industry with IBM, BlueOcean Market Intelligence, IDC India and others. At IBM, Vijay led market research projects involving market opportunity analysis, competitive insights, data modeling and market segmentation. He focused on the evolving software market, and specifically the shift to cloud software. At IDC India, Vijay researched the Indian printers and peripherals market, and contributed to IDC’s Worldwide Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker. He also consulted on the managed printer services market. A mechanical engineer by training, Vijay began his career working for Gmmco, the Caterpillar dealer in India.

Vijay holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Fortune Institute of International Business, New Delhi and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from PSG College of Technology, Tamil Nadu.
