Biography
As an executive and entrepreneur in the finance, clean energy, and real estate industries, Wayne Sturman is experienced in several disciplines and strategies. He cofounded an independent real estate investment company, where he serves as partner in charge of financial structuring, focusing on equity and debt transactions for property owners appropriate to the market. Wayne Sturman also directs the firm’s purchase of investment grade triple net properties, as well as absolute bond, leases.
Alongside his responsibilities as the director of financial structuring and a principal in his real estate investment firm, Wayne Sturman founded a venture capital clean technology firm, one of whose projects is a micro-combined fuel cell heat and power system that heats and provides electricity for homes. Based in North America, the firm is collaborating with various utilities in Europe to commercialize the system’s production, in the UK and the rest of Europe.
Before his current positions, Mr. Sturman was at BCM Capital Management as the head of investment banking. Responsibilities that fell under his purview included overseeing large corporate transactions, channeling private investments in public equity transactions, and aiding in leveraged buyouts, corporate restructuring, and mergers and acquisitions.
