Biography
William Powell is Executive Director of The Leadership Advisor, Member of the Board of Trustees for Touchlife Global Network, Switch & Shift blog contributor, Author of the eBook "Personal Ecology: Self Management and the Art of Cultivating Healthy Relationships" and a public speaker on the topics of Making Human Flourishing Profitable, Leadership Development, Organizational Culture and Employee Engagement. His passions are human-centric organizations and improving social issues.
With experience in both the for profit and non-profit sectors, William gained experience in the value that people bring to organizations in a global context. This journey took place across three very different and distinct cultures: American, Brazilian and Australian. As he gained experience in leadership, management and coaching roles, William began to recognize a pattern to success and founded The Leadership Advisor in 2009 in the USA. Since then, the company has expanded into the Scandinavian, European and Australasian markets as well.
William developed the OD Unification Model and it is used with all clients of The Leadership Advisor around the globe. Through studying human groups, William's research and experience helped him to understand the organic relationships among leadership, culture and engagement. By uncovering the relational connectors between each of these, the model was born. It is a framework that can be used by organizations with minimal interruption to operations and is culturally neutral.
As a supporting consultant, William has worked pro bono with the university social club focused on leadership, AIESEC, in Finland. His contribution was to support and facilitate the development of their national education and training program for new and existing leaders within the organization.
