Biography

I am an entrepreneurial director and leader, with first hand experience of start ups, acquisitions, mergers, re-organisations, change and divestments. I have managed change and transformation and at the same time generated sales growth and expanded market share by building strong teams.

I create and build enduring relationships, and clearly articulate sales propositions and persuasively present the business case to clients and colleagues.

Lately, I have been using my diverse experience to provide consultancy and interim management and leadership to develop businesses, manage change and transformation programmes, and advise on business performance improvement to create shareholder value.

Anon are a science-led global healthcare company. They research and develop a broad range of innovative products in three primary areas of Pharmaceuticals, Vaccines and Consumer Healthcare. Anon have a significant global presence with commercial operations in more than 150 countries, a network of 86 manufacturing sites in 36 countries and large R&D centres in the UK, USA, Spain, Belgium and China.

Division is responsible for Anon’s worldwide real estate portfolio, the allocation and use of its office and laboratory space, the implementation of SMART working, project management, and the delivery of facilities services to employees around the globe.

Sponsor and Stakeholders

Sponsor was Senior Vice President of Div., with day to day reporting to Head of Strategy and Performance of Div.
Worked with the Div. Leadership team of 10 (VPs and HODs), and led a core project team 3 HR Business Partners, 1 Communications Lead, and co-opted various individuals for their specialist contribution during the project e.g. Risk and Compliance, Recruitment partners.

Assignment

Project and change management of divisional transformation programme to Target Industrial Model as part of the overall divisional strategy. This included organisational and business process change. Overall responsibility and accountability for timely delivery of project through leadership team, internal business partners and stakeholders. Design, planning and execution of all change interventions.
I was responsible for weekly communications programme to employees and chairing a weekly leadership team meeting on the project.

Situation

Div. was committed to change to a new matrix management stucture to meet the commercial challenges set of it by the parent company. The entire organisation was redesigned and the project management started with a series of restructuring announcements and proposals for new job roles. Once this was done the main business of the transformation could begin, namely service transition, knowledge managment and risk mitigation.

Result

The entire organisation of some 150 people is now re-organised to the target industria model, ensuring that service executio is pushed down to customer facing roles and that the ‘towers’ provide strategy and leadership to be a world class offering.
