Hungarian-born Andrea Schlaerth is one of the lead instructors of BCOR 1910-Business For Good, and core faculty teaching BCOR 3610-Managing People & Organizations, required courses in the College of Business Administration. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Strategic HR Business Partner (sHRBP) and Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner.

Schlaerth’s management consulting and professional experience spans a spectrum of diverse work settings, customer groups, and industries in for-profit and nonprofits, including clean energy and sustainability, utilities, healthcare, higher education, entertainment, government, and social service organizations. 

Her research on constructive conflict management, emotional intelligence, and leadership was published in Group Processes & Intergroup Relations and in the Encyclopedia of Mental Health, and presented national and international conferences such as the International Congress of Psychology Conference in Cape Town and the Association for Psychological Science Annual Convention.

Schlaerth has taught in four university programs, in Organizational Psychology, Leadership and Management, and Business Administration, at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels, comprehensive and innovative courses in business globalization and business for good; conflict management; organizational development, qualitative and quantitative assessment; change management; scholar-practitioner foundation, and ethical, legal and professional issues in organizational psychology; organizational behavior and strategic human resources management; and management consulting.
