Texas A&M’s national Pandemic Influenza Vaccine Facility in Bryan-College Station, Texas, expected to be fully complete by early 2017, is designed to supply bulk antigen to meet the U.S. Government requirements for 50 million doses of pandemic influenza vaccine within four months of receipt of a pandemic strain.

In the spring of 2013, a group of students at the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine decided to ask their peers why they chose to attend A&M's 35-year-young medical school, one of the highest ranking medical schools in the nation for training primary care physicians and one of the most efficient and affordable medical schools in the country. Here is what they said.

Why did you choose Texas A&M?

Fourth-year medical students in the the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine's Class of 2013 open the letters inform them which residency program they will be attending for their graduate medical education. In the U.S., students identify and rank residencies they would like to go to, in priority order, and residency programs evaluate, interview, and rank students, and the two are "matched" by a national, non-profit program. 

Matches may require moves to distant locations, or affirm or complicate a student's ability to go into their preferred area of medicine.
