Unemployment claims surge: UC Berkeley economists available to provide context


Economists from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley are available to provide context and insight on this week's staggering unemployment claims numbers and market reaction.



Professor Ross Levine is the Willis H. Booth Chair in Banking and Finance at Berkeley Haas. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Milken Institute, a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He can put today's jobs report into current and historical context.




Professor James Wilcox is a former Fed economist who also served on the President's Council of Economic Advisors. He is an expert on unemployment, consumer spending, business conditions, and small business lending.
