Leaders assume expanded roles at Church Mutual®

MERRILL, Wis. - Church Mutual Insurance Company, S.I. (a stock insurer)1 has announced two leadership-level promotions. These individuals will continue to lead the company and advance its mission to protect those who serve and inspire others.


Bruce Carter has been promoted to assistant vice president - Diversity & Inclusion. Carter has a proven track record with Church Mutual, as he led the company to make fundamental changes in the way it recruits new talent, engages with diverse prospects and customers, and partners with diverse vendors and suppliers. Carter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in African American Studies and a Master of Arts degree in industrial relations, both from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. Carter joined Church Mutual in 2018.


John Tribble has been promoted to the newly created role of vice president – customer relationship and business development. Tribble joined Church Mutual in 2016 and helped establish a vision and foundation for diversity and inclusion that the company still follows today. Additionally, he leveraged his education and industry experience to grow Church Mutual’s business and forge relationships with many key customers, including several historically Black colleges, universities and churches. Tribble earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Liberty University and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Baltimore. Within the insurance industry, he also holds his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Casualty Claim Law Associate designations.
