STORY: CAA partners with cyberconIQ, a worldwide leading cybersecurity company, to offer members a new benefit
October 13, 20222 min readStarting October 13, CAA members will gain access to customized cybersecurity education.
CAA is proud to launch a new partnership with cyberconIQ to give members free access to web-based, personally curated cybersecurity awareness education. Starting October 13, CAA members in Ontario and Manitoba can get the knowledge and education needed to take control of their personal privacy so they can stay safe online. This includes foundation and basics modules (10-15 mins each).
October is Cyber Security Awareness Month and according to a recent study conducted by CAA, 62 per cent of members know someone or have personally experienced a privacy or data security breach. One-third of members personally experiencing a breach thought it could have been avoided with better awareness and education.
“CAA recognizes that safety is more than just being physically safe,” said Shoshana Fruitman, VP Marketing Operations, CAA Club Group. “We know that online privacy and personal data protection is a concern for the majority of online users and we’re very excited to be partnering with cyberconIQ to help members build the confidence needed to stay safe online.”
With many of us spending so much of our time online – whether it’s for online banking, social media, instant messaging or shopping – CAA believes it’s important for online users to be aware of and know how to avoid online risks.
The launch of the new member benefit is yet another way CAA upholds its mission to keep members safe. Through gamified activities, engaging videos, thought-provoking questions and interactive simulations, members can learn how to use safer online behaviours in the most common online activities. Members will also learn how to recognize and avoid social engineering and phishing as well as develop better password and authentication habits.
Here's how CAA members can take advantage of the new cyberconIQ member benefit:
