Jeremy Kimble, Ph.D.

Jeremy M. Kimble, Ph.D., is Professor of Systematic and Applied Theology at Cedarville University. He teaches college and seminary students in areas including biblical and systematic theology, ecclesiology, discipleship, spiritual formation, preaching and teaching, and the mission of the church.

Kimble is also involved in Cedarville's Synergy Initiative, which equips students for church planting, church multiplication and Gospel-centered ministry. His work connects theological study with the formation of healthy churches and the practical responsibilities of Christian discipleship.

His scholarly and writing interests include the doctrine of the church, biblical theology, Christian discipleship, Scripture's role in spiritual transformation and church membership and discipline. He is the author of Behold and Become: Reading Scripture for Transformation and co-author of Invitation to Biblical Theology and 40 Questions About Church Membership and Discipline.

Before joining Cedarville, Kimble served eight years in pastoral ministry. He earned a Ph.D. in theological studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, a ThM in systematic theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, an M.Div. in theological studies from Winebrenner Theological Seminary and a B.S. in Bible and pastoral ministry from Baptist Bible College.
