Biography
Jessica Lowy PhD joined the faculty at Goizueta Business School in 2026 as an Assistant Professor in the Practice of Organization and Management. Dr. Lowy began her journey at Goizueta in 2010, supporting BBA students via a variety of roles in the BBA program office, most recently as Assistant Dean of BBA Advising and Academic Affairs from 2018-2026.
As Assistant Dean, Dr. Lowy oversaw advising for all BBA students and BBA joint degree candidates, collaborated with faculty on matters of curricula and policies, served as an honor council administrator, and played a pivotal role in the implementation of a revamped BBA curriculum. She also co-instructed Goizueta’s hallmark Personal Development co-curricular course.
Dr. Lowy was a recipient of the Dean’s Staff Advisory Council Excellence Award in collaboration in 2018 for fostering strong partnerships across the Emory campus and serving on several committees focused on fostering a student-centered and inclusive experience for all undergraduates.
Dr. Lowy brings an interdisciplinary perspective to the Business Communication Strategy classroom, with degrees in psychology, public health, and education. Prior to joining Goizueta, she served as a career counselor at the Rollins School of Public Health. She also held communications roles within the CDC, where she prepared and disseminated health messaging and evidence-based recommendations to a variety of audiences across the country.
