Vertebrate Paleontology Collections & Fossil Conservation

Kirkland’s work focuses on vertebrate paleontology collections, fossil preparation and conservation, and public engagement. He manages specimen curation, field collecting, and volunteer training for LSU’s Museum of Natural Science and collaborates with the Louisiana Art & Science Museum to translate Gulf Coast fossil history for the public.

Dino Day returns to LASM this Saturday
