Biography
His professional interests include community pharmacy practice, experiential education and leadership development in pharmacy practice. His scholarship has examined self-care counseling skills, health literacy, cultural competency and the integration of self-care content across the pharmacy curriculum.
Before joining Cedarville, Franz practiced in community and clinical care settings, including Cedar Care Village Pharmacy, Rocking Horse Primary Care Center and Nationwide Children’s Hospital. His practice experience includes medication education, medication therapy management and care for patients with chronic conditions.
Franz earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The Ohio State University. He is a licensed pharmacist in Ohio and has completed certificates in diabetes education, medication therapy management, pharmacy-based specialty medication delivery and pharmacy-based immunization delivery.
