Sejong Bae, PhD, is a distinguished biostatistician and researcher with over two decades of experience in clinical, translational, and population-based research. Dr. Bae is the inaugural chair of the Department of Biostatistics, Data Science, and Epidemiology at Augusta University's School of Public Health. Dr. Bae's expertise spans biostatistics, data science, and epidemiology, with a focus on clinical trials, biomarkers, and health equity.

He has held significant academic and leadership positions, notably at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where he served as a Professor of Medicine and led the Biostatistics & Bioinformatics Shared Facility at the O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Bae has an extensive publication record, contributing to over 230 peer-reviewed manuscripts in high-impact journals, including JAMA and Cancer Letters. His research interests encompass cancer, cardiovascular diseases, health equity, clinical trials, and advance biostatistics methods.
