Meagan Baskin, Ph.D.

Dr. Meagan Baskin is an Associate Professor of Management and the Director of the Southwest Florida Leadership Institute at Florida Gulf Coast University. In her role as the Director of the Southwest Florida Leadership Institute, Dr. Baskin brings the classroom back to the community by developing leadership and workforce training opportunities for regional organizations and community members to increase workforce sustainability in southwest Florida. Her areas of training include organizational culture, ethical decision-making, time theft, and conflict and communication.

Since moving to SWFL Dr. Baskin has been recognized by Gulfshore Business as a 40 under 40 honoree (2023), and Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Young Professional of the Year nominee (2024). Dr. Baskin is also an award-winning researcher and teacher. Her research has been featured in a variety of local and national news outlets and has won several teaching awards, including the 2023 Distinguished Educator Award from the Southwest Academy of Management, a career achievement award for excellence in teaching.
