Invasive termite species are interbreeding to create more resilient hybrids, how would this potentially make this termite season worse than others?

Luckily, Louisiana does not have termite hybrids yet. Termite hybrids are in particular reference to the Asian and Formosan subterranean termite, both of which are present in Florida. If we were to get AST in the state, they could hybridize with FST, which would increase the number of termites swarming during the termite swarm season. We are not really aware of what the broader impacts of this hybridization would be within the US. But both of these termites can hybridize and hybrids have been found in Florida.
