Broken bones is a vast term that includes both long bones and smaller bones and bones that don’t bear weight 100% like proximal sesamoids yet are pivotal in suspension or integrity of main weight bearing bones- that being said advanced imaging like CT Scan, PET scan and MRI along with ultrasound has helped on preventative basis and less injuries are therefore the result of better and advanced diagnostics. Both for laminitis and bone fractures which is economically, welfare wise as well as lifesaving advancements.
