Director of the Center for the Advancement of Cybersecurity; Professor of Cyber Operations and Computer Science

Expertise: cybersecurity education, cyber operations, faith and ethics in tech leadership

Dr. Hamman shapes how the next generation of cyber leaders is trained, and how Christian ethics intersect with computer science. He earned his PhD in cybersecurity at the Air Force Institute of Technology after years in industry as both a startup engineer and consultant, and has directed Cedarville's cyber program since 2012.

Expertise: DoD and government cyber defense, vulnerability management, nation-state threat actors

Prof. Parry spent 14 years defending government and Fortune 500 networks before joining Cedarville, including stints at Northrop Grumman Xetron, Tenable, and CrowdStrike. He speaks to how nation-state and criminal actors target government systems, and where commercial vulnerability tools fall short.

Expertise: cybersecurity curriculum design, CS education, programming environments

Dr. Shomper built much of what makes Cedarville's program work in the classroom, drawing on a 20-year Air Force career before joining the faculty in 2003. His research focuses on how cybersecurity should actually be taught, not just practiced.

Expertise: reverse engineering, social engineering, human-computer interaction

Prof. Dudenhofer studies how attackers exploit human behavior as much as code. A decade at the Air Force Research Laboratory researching human-computer interfaces for autonomous systems now informs his work on malware reverse engineering and the cognitive science behind social engineering.
