Delitta Scott-Dixon is a part-time lecturer and teaches courses in social welfare and policy and practice in social service organizations.
She has more than 15 years of experience working in the field of HIV/AIDS, mental health, public health and substance abuse. For more than a decade, she served as program director of the Southwest Public Health District’s HIV/AIDS program in Georgia. She continues to educate individuals affected by HIV/AIDS and help improve health outcomes for those living with the disease. Her dissertation was the “Study of Rural College Students’ Knowledge and Perceptions toward HIV/AIDS.”
