Biography

ELIZABETH “BETSY” DEGARMOE brings more than 20 years of experience working with at-risk children and families in the areas of child welfare, group homes, juvenile justice systems, adoption and education. She serves as manager of the Foster Youth Services program at the Orange County Department of Education. This role utilizes her master’s degree in social work and licensed clinical social worker background with her school social work and administrative services credentials.

She is a strong advocate for children and families and has a passion for developing leaders to continue to improve systems that help children and families thrive. She is also an avid volunteer with the American Red Cross’ disaster mental health team.
